CentOS 7.5 Release Warning

CentOS 7.5 Release Warning

Update [May 14, 2018 03:00 am PT]

We are happy to announce that a new CloudLinux OS 7.5 is now available. To update your server to CloudLinux OS 7.5, please use the procedure described here.

Please note that if you have downloaded a cldeploy script with a warning (before CloudLinux 7.5 release) it is required to download an updated cldeploy script.

Original post [May 11, 2018 01:40 am PT]

As you might know, the CentOS 7.5 was recently released. As CloudLinux OS 7.5 is not released yet, the converting from CentOS to CloudLinux this time might cause unpredictable issues.

To avoid such issues we strongly recommend not to update to CentOS 7.5 untill CloudLinux 7.5 is released. For now, our team has modified cldeploy script with a warning, asking not to convert. Alternatively, you can use our ISO images for fresh installations instead.

We are planning to release CloudLinux 7.5 on Monday, May 14th.

We apologize for any inconvenience it may cause.

Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to keep up with updates.

Hi, will there be any solution to migrate from Cloudlinux 6 to Cloudlinux 7?
This has been "promised" several months ago but I am not able to find any new information about it....

Unfortunately, there's no easy way to upgrade to CL 7 from CL 6. Meanwhile, you can install CloudLinux Hybrid kernel, which is essentially CL 7 kernel built for CL 6 systems.
