Does IM360 attempt to block bad robots?

I had some bad robots scrape/download about 5GB from one website over weekend and this is a feature I would like to see.

thx

There are two types of network limits already available in our products:
1) DoS protection (limit by number of simultaneous connections) in Imunify360: http://docs.imunify360.com/general.htm
2) Network traffic bandwidth control in CloudLinux OS: https://docs.cloudlinux.com/network_limits.html

What would be your recommended limit for network connection in web server? Mine is currently set to 200.

Nevertheless, It would be good feature to block bad robots based on publicly available bad robot lists.

On side note, I don't use CL.

thx

Glenn, I have sent your request to Imunify360 dev team.
Could you please refer to some bad robots lists that are known to be helpful?
Thanks

Here's a couple of lists:

http://www.botreports.com/badbots/index.shtml

http://www.projecthoneypot.org/harvester_useragents.php

I also liked this page which shows how to use htaccess to stop bad user agents from attacking websites. Perhaps some of these techniques could be incorporated into IM360:

https://www.winhelp.info/stop-fake-user-agents-with-htaccess.html

Hope this is useful.

I would like to have this feature too. If imunify360 has it, I would definitely switch for all our cpanel servers.
