What is the current status on PHP-FPM support (DirectAdmin server)?

I am currently using mod_fcgid version but php-fpm would be much faster when using op cache (Xcache and similar) because it can use the same cache for all processes and it handles children creation much better than mod_fcgid (mod_fcgid uses VirtualHosts as Classes and a user with 10 virtual hosts and FcgidMaxProcessesPerClass set to 7 could theoretically fork  70 php processes if not Nproc limitation but mod_fpm limits number of children based on user not virtual host).
