CloudLinux 5 kernel released to beta

The new CloudLinux 5 kernel (version 2.6.18-508.el5.lve0.8.89) with the fix for Dirty COW and a fix from OpenVZ team is now available from our beta repository.

Changelog since 2.6.18-508.el5.lve0.8.88:

  • rebased to OpenVZ kernel 028stab120.2;
  • fix for CVE-2016-5195 aka Dirty COW.

To install new kernel please run the following command:

yum install kernel-2.6.18-508.el5.lve0.8.89 --enablerepo=cloudlinux-updates-testing

I tried and could not find new kernel in cloudlinux repo.

Make sure you use the correct directory cloudlinux-updates-testing.

To install new kernel please run the following command:

yum install kernel-2.6.18-508.el5.lve0.8.89 --enablerepo=cloudlinux-updates-testing
