Alert: ImunifyAV for cPanel replaced with Imunify360 on “yum update”

The Imunify360 3.9.0 beta release contained a bug that replaced an existing ImunifyAV installation with Imunify360 3.9.0 beta when the “yum update” command was run. Only cPanel versions were affected.

We’ve already fixed the repositories and released an Imunify360 3.9.1 Beta update.

If you were affected by this issue, please perform the following steps to uninstall Imunify360 and reinstall ImunifyAV:

1) run
/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/modsec_vendor disable imunify360_full_apache
2) run
/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/modsec_vendor remove imunify360_full_apache
3) remove the string
Include "/etc/apache2/conf.d/modsec2.imunify.conf"
from file /etc/apache2/conf.d/modsec/modsec2.cpanel.conf
4) run
httpd -t
to ensure that apache configs are fine
5) run
yum history undo $(yum history package-list imunify-antivirus | grep 'Obsoleted' | head -1 | awk '{print $1}')
6) run
/opt/alt/python35/bin/python3.5 -c "from defence360agent.contracts.config import ConfigFile; c = ConfigFile(); d = c.config_to_dict(); d.pop('DOS', None); d.pop('STOP_MANAGING', None); c.dict_to_config(d, overwrite=True)"
7) run
/usr/local/cpanel/bin/unregister_appconfig /etc/sysconfig/imunify360/cpanel/imunify360.conf.rpmsave

If you need further assistance, please contact the Imunify360 Support team.

Once again, please accept our sincere apologies for this.
