KernelCare fan-base is growing as we reach 50,000 server installs

I cannot say that I am not proud of the fact that our customer install base has grown so substantially. In the past year, KernelCare has more than tripled server installs and is still CloudLinux’s fastest growing product. Companies like Dell and LiquidWeb have deployed KernelCare to keep thousands of their Linux servers secure with all the latest kernel patches automatically applied to the running kernel.

We take reliability and robustness of the service very seriously. KernelCare doesn’t alter the performance of servers. It takes nanoseconds to install updates to the running kernel. Plus, we release new patches super fast, sometimes a lot faster than OS companies release new kernels, and they are automatically installed so that customers don’t have to worry about their kernel security. We manage it for them. We also give them peace of mind allowing to rollback updates, still without reboots.

Naturally, since we’ve been in business of selling CloudLinux OS to hosters for the past 5 years, our customer base spans from small to large, to super-large service providers. But with KernelCare, we see a growing adoption by enterprises as well. Dell, for example, keeps their internal servers online and kernels secure with KernelCare.

Enterprises particularly appreciate the ability to run KernelCare on typical servers as well as in virtual environments, and run automatic updates or managed updates in a live environment or their desired staging environment. By making KernelCare open source, it gives our customers more flexibility and more insight into how they are updating their kernels.

KernelCare supports most popular Linux distributions including CentOS/RHEL/CloudLinux 5, 6 and 7, OpenVZ & Virtuozzo, Debian 6, 7 and 8, Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, Proxmox VE 3.x & 4.x. Other kernels will follow. Here you can learn more about KernelCare.

Big thanks to all of our customers!
