CloudLinux - Setting up KuberDock without CEPH
Getting started with KuberDock

The installation of KuberDock without CEPH storage is simple.

We are going to download the installation script from KuberDock’s repository and run in on the master server.

Log in to the master server console as root using your preferred SSH terminal application and perform the following steps:

If you haven’t installed “wget” then install it first:

yum install wget

Download the installation script by running the following command:

Each KuberDock cluster can use either floating or fixed IP pools. With fixed IP pools each node can issue public IP addresses to pods from its dedicated pool. This can be useful if the nodes are located in different data centers.

To use fixed IP pools option you need to run the deploy script on the Master server with fixed-ip-pools option:

bash --fixed-ip-pools

To start the installation script with floating IP pool you need simply run the command:

bash ./

You’ll need to enter just a bit of technical information during the installation process:

Enter the IP address of the KuberDock internal network interface for master server to connect to the nodes or press “enter”.

Enter interface to bind public IP addresses on nodes or press “enter”.

When installation is completed, you will see the completion message and the saved log location.

Now, we need to activate our newly installed KuberDock cluster using the license activation key.

You can obtain it in your CLN account. It’s also sent to you via e-mail upon the trial activation or purchase.

In the web browser, log in to KuberDock using your administrator credentials, provided to you at the end of the installation process.

Go into your CLN account, click “Activate Trial Now” to obtain a new license key for the trial period.

Go to the Settings page in KuberDock and choose the License option. Then click the EDIT icon next to the Installation ID field, fill in your activation key and click Apply.

KuberDock will be activated within a few minutes. The type of license is displayed at the top.

That’s it. We have just finished the KuberDock master server installation without CEPH support.
