This problem seems to be growing worse by the month. More bots scanning sites eating resources. It would be nice to have a 'blacklist' of bots we want to ban at the server level. The closest thing I have found is in this article using a modsec rule and fail2ban.

See attached URL.

This is starting to get out of control and causing CPU to remain far above average rates.

We Currently Run Config Server Firewall and use there blocklists but use IPSET to stop the server getting blogged down due to the size of some of the blocklists. We run Imunfiy360 as well but find it all works fairly well together to be honest. We also are able to block Spammers with it too so our clients have seen a reduction in spam being delivered to there inbox.

Hi Eric,
that makes sense. We'll take a look into the issue in general and figure out how bad bots blocking could be implemented in the IM360 (without any 3rd party tools/service).

Thank you for the feature request.
