What else new beta kernel brings?

I am happy to announce that yet another valuable kernel patch is out! Our latest beta kernel includes slab cache patch that focuses on the issue when file system object reclaim does not trigger the code for file system objects removal frequently enough.

The known situation was that the dentry/inode cache “swelled up” – it continued growing either until the manual reset (drop_caches) or the moment when the system became low on memory. Knowing that we’ve had a few requests from CloudLinux customers regarding slab cache issue we recommend installing this update as it might help with the majorities of them.

I complained about this problem at least 2 years ago, but CloudLinux support always say that there were no issues. Despite the long time, I'm glad they have found a solution.
