Imunify360’s latest malware scanning engine outperforms other technologies

Yesterday, we released the latest version of Imunify360. In addition to a few important features, such as Plesk support, it now includes new and greatly improved malware scanning engine. Our latest release shows significantly better malware scanning results than most popular free or paid solutions we have seen used in hosting industry. We have tested the Imunify360’s new malware scanning engine against several commercial engines, as well as free engines, such as ClamAV and Maldet, and our scanner detects up to 20% more malware.

In the hosting industry survey we did last year over 68% of hosting providers reported that malware infection is a top concern for their customers’ web servers. We are building Imunify360 to address this major issue by automatically scanning file systems for malware and quarantines infected files, and we have just made a major improvement to our scanning engine!

Imunify360 runs on CentOS 6 & 7, and CloudLinux OS 6 & 7 distributions. It supports cPanel as well as Plesk control panels. To learn more about this release, including additional new and/or improved features, you can read this blog post.

Yes, I think that the price is a little high yet.. We will wait to see if it drops to implement it to several servers that we own.

Thanks!

I have a question now We use active tools in conjunction with your minufy360 like:
1. ConfigServer MailScanner FE
2. ConfigServer Security & Firewall
3. CloudLinux
4. ClamAV

From what I see can immunify firewall replace or keep connected?

Imunify360 is compatible with all of the four. It can replace CSF and CXS and includes ClamAV as one of anti-malware engines.

We have been very happy and impressed with Imunify360 improved malware scanner. We host more than 60,000 websites in many cPanel servers (mostly WordPress). Previously we always get support requests from infected customer sites. Now we get only 1-2 every week, that’s usually because of very outdated or weak WP sites.

We used CXS previously but we have uninstalled it and just run CSF + Imunify360 now.

Edy,

There are few major improvements planned for this summer, which should get you to at most 1-2 sites per month. This will work especially well with old sites. We should be able to prevent abuse of un-patched / vulnerable software with proactive defense (should be in beta next week). By the end of the year -- I hope you will not see infected site any more than once every 6 months.

That’s great news Igor!

We still run Patchman to auto-detect & patch outdated CMS. If Imunify360 can somehow prevent abuse of outdated CMS, we probably won’t need Patchman anymore which would make us happier.

There’s another feature that we’d like to have, customized email notification upon malware detection or exposed vulnerability so the customers can patch the outdated CMS/plugin to prevent further abuse as well. Do you have that in the roadmap as well? I this this feature is not too hard to implement.
