CloudLinux 7 and CloudLinux 6 Hybrid kernel updated

CloudLinux 7 and CloudLinux 6 Hybrid kernel version 3.10.0-714.10.2.lve1.5.17 is now available for download from our production repository.

Changelog:

  • CLKRN-257: the Linux ptrace code virtualizes access to the debug registers and the virtualization code. This means that if you write an illegal value to, say, DR0, the internal state of the kernel breakpoint tracking can become corrupt despite the fact that the ptrace () call will return -EINVAL and it leads to the kernel corruption and denial of service;
  • CLKRN-250: solved the conflict between user ptrace switch and process visibility controlled by the hidepid option. The patch also uses fsuid when accessing files in procfs which prevents illegal access to the processes of another user;
  • CLKRN-247: fixed file system cache reclaim.

To install a new kernel, please use the following commands:

CloudLinux 7:

yum clean all && yum install kernel-3.10.0-714.10.2.lve1.5.17.el7

CloudLinux 6 Hybrid:

yum clean all && yum install kernel-3.10.0-714.10.2.lve1.5.17.el6h
Beta: CloudLinux 6 kernel updated

When should we expect cl-mirror.cloud.dk to sync?
I'm getting: No package kernel-3.10.0-714.10.2.lve1.5.17.el6h available.

Even after cleaning the repodata, we are still unable to get CL6H kernel update...
"No package kernel-3.10.0-714.10.2.lve1.5.17.el6h available."
One some CL7 servers update, but some also say that the package is not available.
Any ideas?

Be aware that this kernal build is broken as the post-install links to extra kernel mods like XTables were not run.

The problem has been reported, but there has not been any response to the issue yet.
