Configuring Initial LVE Settings

CloudLinux comes with pre-configured default settings that will apply to all accounts:
  • CPU is set to 1 core or 25% of total CPU power, whichever is lower
  • maxEntryProcesses (concurrent connections) are set to 20
  • memory limit (disabled globally) is set to 1GB
The limits are optimized for a typical shared hosting, for any server running anywhere from 2 cores to 64 cores. As long as you planning to have anywhere from 10 customers to 5,000 customers on the server, those limits should work well.

We recommend to start with default settings, and then adjust it only if you feel necessary.

Memory limits are disabled by default, as memory limit bugs are somewhat confusing for new CloudLinux users, and we want people to experience CloudLinux without having such confusing issues.
To enable memory limit, execute:
# lvectl ubc enable --save
